The staff were really friendly! They helped me to reserve the taxi with a baby safety seats, and also allowed me to store the luggage in the storage room for sometime. The location is great, close to shopping malls and the walking streets, also close to bus stops.

It's a small hotel in the historic center walking distance to a lot of the places you would like to see in Funchal. The room and facilities are simple, modern, comfortable, and clean, The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast (included in the room price) is basic but sufficient for my needs, with a variety of breads, cereal, cold cuts cheese, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea etc. The AC in the room worked well. I would happily stay here again if I returned to Funchal.

Each accommodation is elegantly decorated and includes tea-and-coffee making facilities, a minibar, and a balcony with sea views. All rooms have a seating area with a sofa. It's just an incredible place! I will be honest, the hotel looks very simple, but as soon as we entered our room we were enamoured and enchanted! We had a balcony overlooking the ocean which was incredibly close, we had the opportunity to not only watch the raging waves but also listen to the sound of the ocean all night long! We purposely left the balcony open at night, if you close it the konata would be quiet. The konata is great! The bed is incredibly large and comfortable, we were greeted with a welcome bottle of sparkling wine which was very nice. The room had a nice bathroom with everything we needed. The water pressure in the shower was good. The breakfast, not a big buffet, had everything we needed. I had boiled eggs at my request and the staff were polite. On my birthday they brought me a cake with a candle. The view from the restaurant was also unforgettable on the ocean.

The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes.

It features an outdoor pool with solarium and sun loungers. Staying in Casa das Proteas was an amazing experience. The view is absolutely stunning, the breakfast is very tasty and Teresa is super kind and helpful. We will definitely come back:)

Casa Da Piedade’s rooms feature wood furniture, as well as a TV and telephone. Each private bathroom includes a walk-in shower. 1) Property is located in the great area with stunning views and in the same time, not far from many landmarks and the city. 2) Doubleroom was exactly what we needed with 2 separated rooms. Big number and we had the corner one which we really liked. Was very comfortable and clean. 3) In general hotel is like an old styled pansion from italian movies. Atmosphere is amazing. 4) Has big parking and garden with pool is simply beautiful. 5) Stuff was very helpful and friendly in the same time very professional. 6) Pretty nice sound proof + it was very quiet, this is the most important for me in the hotels.
