What surprised me most was he spoke in my mother language, Cantonese, to wish me a happy new year. Excellent location, modern interior with air con, amazing breakfast. Strongly recommend to stay at this little cozy Dar in Chefchaouen.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa El Haouta, which was perfectly located in an excellent neighbourhood in the heart of the old city of Chefchaouen. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious, fresh and various. The staff were very kind and helpful. All credits go to Hamid and his staff. Hamid made us feel home, made us enjoy all the flavours of Chefchaouen through the information that he provided to us. He also helped us with the luggage. Such a kind soul. For me and my mom this will be an unforgettable stay. We will for sure be back to this guests friendly and beautiful place. Thank you!

Very welcoming, and happy to help out where he could. The room we had was exactly as per the photos, and full of character, a really nice room. The vibe around the hostel in general is lovely. The location is also brilliant. Couldn't recommend any more.

This hotel is a real gem. It is in an amazing location on the edge of the medina that is still accessible by a car but already on pedestrian zone. From here,it is a short walk to the creek, main shopping streets and the main square. You can also go up the mosque for a beautiful view and the path is right by the hotel. The view from the terrace for sunsets is unbelievable. The staff is kind, professional and helpful. Breakfast is very filling and with healthy choices. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The manager is super kind and really takes guest comfort seriously. We got upgraded to a higher level room due to some noisy guests. We did not even ask:). After 1 month of travelling in Morocco, this was top notch experience. Highly recommended and if it is in your budget, splurge on the 3rd floor suite that has direct access to terrace and corner views onto the medina and city. If I knew how comfortable and spectacular it is, I would have booked it right away!

The suites have a sitting area and fireplace. The property was stunning. I can’t say enough good things about our stay here. Upon check-in, we were greeted with tea and sweets and upgraded to a suite. The room was quite large and beautifully decorated. Amazing views from the terrace. Everything was clean and well kept. Bathroom was stocked with everything we needed. Heater and hot water worked great. There’s also an elevator, which makes things easier when moving luggage. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious and contained options for everyone. My only regret was not staying longer.

This was our first stop on a multi-city tour of medinas in Morocco in advance of our daughter's wedding in Marrakesh. We had little idea of what to expect. Our visit was exceptional. Mohamed met us at the entry to the medina and handled our luggage all the way up to our room. We were then offered Moroccan tea and sweets on the rooftop where we first saw the panorama of the Blue City. He, and the entire staff, were warm and welcoming. He gave us great recommendations for places to see and where to eat. All of his suggestions were perfect. Breakfasts were magnificent and coupled with views that provided us with a lifetime of memories. Our walk to the Spanish mosque on our final morning there provided views that will be forever etched in our minds. We had one plumbing issue that was corrected immediately. Staying there was the perfect spot to making us comfortable in Morocco and lessened any anxiety we might have had in staying at unknown to us riads. Last thing, our room had a view of the local school. That might not seem ideal to many people, but for us it was nice to hear the excited voices of young people during the day and particularly when they had phys ed or recess. If we ever return to Chefchaouen, we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
