We loved our stay at Rustic Cottages. This accommodation has only been established a short time yet is run so professionally. Communication was outstanding from the outset. They organised our safari tour which was excellent. We saw so much wildlife. The cottages are beautifully appointed and set in a lovely tropical garden. Aircon and hot water were plentiful. The bed was very comfortable and top notch linens. There were thoughtful touches like international adapters. The breakfasts were a treat. We opted for the traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts and they were delicious. We also chose to eat our dinners at Rustic Cottages and were pleased we did. Some of the best food we’ve eaten. There was parking for our tuktuk. This is a great accommodation and I highly recommend it. Sandeep is the consummate host and we are really pleased to have experienced such wonderful hospitality.

A beautiful little place in Udawalawe. It was really close to everything in every way. The owner is a very close and good friend. You can also get laundry facilities here at very cheap prices. We arranged a safari here. We saw elephants, Leopard, crocodiles, and many other animals at a very cheap price. We had a lot of fun.see you next time.

A beautiful place set in a stunning setting, simple rooms but everything you need. I loved floating in the river watching the birds and sitting by the river listening to the birds. Also the breakfast and dinner were really great. We saw a lot of animals at the safari park. The hotel driver Janaka is a very knowledgeable guide. Although many jeeps were speeding, the driver Janaka managed to get out of the way and go deep into the jungle to see the animals freely. They were very good at providing a perfect safari with perfect service.

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. The room and washroom were exceptionally clean and very spacious. The building is new and easy to locate, which made the check-in smooth. The swimming pool was amazing, and the whole place offered great privacy. The staff were incredibly friendly and always made sure I had a comfortable stay. The food was also excellent. Overall, a wonderful experience , highly recommended!

We stayed in the new 2 person Cottage. There was plenty of space and we enjoyed the nice terrace. owner and his family were excellent hosts and made us feel at home from our arrival. The organised a great safari tour in the Udawalave national park. so memorable and adventurist.

Thank you to Ravidu and Madu for making our stay so welcoming, they really looked after my brother and me. The accommodation is actually located in the forest and we could see monkeys and wildlife. We had a delicious welcome lemonade and cake, the breakfast was huge!! Madu organised a morning safari, which was fantastic, we saw lots of elephants. They packed us breakfast. The accommodation was exceptional value for money, comfortable bed, new air conditioning, hot water, fridge, kettle and even a hairdryer! I really liked the aesthetics of the bedrooms too. Nice little veranda to sit and relax. It is close to a few restaurants and a short walk to Udawalawe Junction. Thanks again! I highly recommend.

Very unique and beautiful accommodation, they put so much effort into every detail of the room. Only one room on the whole property and it's gorgeous, especially the floating bed and net terrace under all the trees. Very kind, warm and welcoming family. Would 10/10 recommend staying here in the Udawalawe area.
