It rained almost without stopping during our stay at Lake Cabin. However we had a happy time in the care of our excellent host who made us welcome and helped us find an excellent local place to eat as well as arranging a tour of the lake where we saw several elephants. There were good choices for breakfast. The lake view from the veranda was stunning with so many birds.

The rooms are spotless, and the facilities are excellent for the price. It's also conveniently located close to Parakrama Samudra (just 1.8 km away). I truly enjoyed my freedom here, and this stay has become one of the most unforgettable journeys I've had. If you're looking for a budget-friendly place that is clean, calm, and comfortable, there's simply no better choice than this!

It is immediately close to the ticket office, has a classic architecture perfectly suited to the lake and classical Sri Lankan / British style that has been maintained with love and attention. Tishan Holiday Resort is located in Bendiwewa in the region of Polonnaruwa. The archaeological area is 3.5 km away from Tishan Hotel. Hotel features a year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace. A really nice stay we had, quite by coincidence, but we are very happy. A very friendly owner, good food, a large garden with a swimming pool, beautiful views over the surrounding rice fields.
