The location on the banks of a river and within walking distance of beaches and coffee shops was lovely. The spa and outdoor bath was a great way to end the day. We travelled with family and the little kids loved exploring around the "boxes", looking for crabs, and catching bugs (with thoughtfully provided nets and containers). It was great to have space outdoors to relax, and they even provided bug spray! The shipping containers were well insulated and the furniture and utensils were very high quality (Hay). Fresh coffee beans/bags, grinder and drip filter were appreciated. Staff responded promptly (on Line) to supply amenities, including coals for the Weber bbq.

The room was well appointed, and the shared spaces were very clean. The owner, Kouki, is genuinely a decent and honest person. Even though I booked at the last minute, he responded right away. I don’t speak Japanese, but he spoke a little English, and with the help of apps we got along fine. He’s knowledgeable about the area and even offered to arrange a tour. We drove down to Cape Toi, visiting many of the sights along the coast. If you’re into surfing and want to know where all the secret surf spots are, Kouki is your guy. Additionally, the nearby area in Nichinan has some historic and interesting sites to visit—also recommended by the stellar host. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stainless steel kitchen, leather lounge, the bed, the huge deep bath! Every detail has been thought of. The "urban" type design isn't usually my thing, but its done so well! The staff were so accommodating and friendly. Fantastic value for money! Its literally 5 star quality in a 3 star hotel. In fact ive stayed in numerous 5 star hotels that are of lesser quality. This is the only 10/10 rating ive ever given to a hotel
