The pleasant surprise was hot bath with a lake view and warm bathrobes. Breakfast was also good with a fresh home-made omelette (not very common in other hotels). Staff was very nice and helpful.

Last but not least, the resort offers food and drinks at their restaurant (including beers from the local brewery). We loved our stay here!

Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses in Egilsstadir provides adults-only accommodation with a private beach area and a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The chalet offers lake views and a picnic area. Our tiny house was super cozy. Isabelle, the host was very kind. She was a life saver because our car brpke in the middle of the road and she waited until late night to check us in. Also, the next day she kindly offered and gave us a ride to the nearest city where we could rent a new car.
