Located in the picturesque village of Hathersage, 10 miles from Sheffield, The George offers free WiFi. The hotels garden terrace was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great for the train station. The breakfast was 11/10, nicely cooked, and kept me going through to dinner in the evening.

Samantha & Stephanie were wonderful host. Stephanie checked me in and I appreciate her help with booking an extra night with Old Manse. Samantha cooked a really good breakfast each morning. I really enjoyed the fresh fruit (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi & apple) & plain yogurt. She also cooked great poached eggs & cereal was appreciated. One morning I had salmon & eggs and it was yummy. I failed to mention she had nuts & dried fruit to put on the yogurt…..lots of good choices. My room & bathroom were a good size and the bed very comfortable. I enjoyed my walks from the B&B to the town centre (exploring) & taking the bus to Bakewell and Haddon Hall were fun for a day. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
