Free WiFi and parking on site is available for guests. The staff were exceptional, both the assistant manager and manager were very helpful in helping transfer luggage and a packed lunch. My requests were not quite the norm.

The lounges have a terrace patio overlooking the gardens and golf course, ideal for a pre-dinner drink. The building itself had recently undergone a major renovation, so everything was new. A beautiful victorian manor, the renovations have maintained the charm of the place while providing modern amenities. Very well done. The staff were great - extremely polite and helpful, we lost our luggage en-route and the staff helped us to recover it. I think they went the extra mile. Breakfast (full English) was cooked to order and very tasty - proper bacon and sausage, also very good selection of bread, spreads etc. The dining room and bar areas very well designed, retaining the We also went for a walk around the grounds, over a bridge and down the river, about 1 hours walk - very nice, everything well maintained. Also the location was excellent - rural but only 25 mins drive to York centre.
