Our strong focus on providing a clean, eco-friendly and welcoming environment, makes Dreamtime the ideal base for travelers who want to explore all the beautiful things Cairns has to offer. Initially booked this hostel for three days, but the atmosphere was so wonderful and relaxing that I ended up staying for nearly a month. There are no bunk beds—just regular beds—so it feels much more comfortable. Almost every room has its own fridge, and there are plenty of bathrooms and kitchens available, the place also very clean which adds to overall comfort. The garden is incredibly peaceful; you might not even want to leave once you settle in. There’s also a cool common area on the second-floor balcony with a red sofa where I spent most of my time. This is definitely not the typical party hostel full of loud drinking or drugs. Whenever I came in, people were meditating, doing yoga, reading, painting, or writing. If you’re looking for a party-all-night vibe, this may not be the place for you. The guests here have a different energy—more mature, quiet, and respectful. It’s also a very safe choice for solo female travelers. Another unique aspect is that the owners are often at reception, which makes the place feel safer, and they address any issues immediately. However, if you’re a digital nomad, be aware that the internet can be spotty in some rooms—especially in rooms 6 and 7, where it doesn’t reach at all. Even a Telstra hotspot wasn’t sufficient there. The internet in room 19 was much better, and it’s very good in the common areas. But working in the common area during the summer without air conditioning can be tough due to the heat. In the winter, though, it could be a great environment for digital nomads. It might be even better if they added two or three small coworking or meeting areas in the garden—then it would be a digital nomad’s paradise. They’ve created an incredibly peaceful atmosphere overall. If you’re looking for a calm, relaxing place rather than a party hostel, this is a wonderful place to stay. If you visit Cairns, don’t bother looking anywhere else!

Trinity Collective is a recently renovated apartment in Trinity Beach, where guests can makes the most of its outdoor swimming pool, garden and barbecue facilities. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The apartment has private entrance. Very clean, a great size and amazing staff. We needed some kitchen cooking trays and surface cleaner, nothing was too much trouble.

Located in Cairns, near Cairns Station and The Cairns Civic Theater, JDs Tropical stays is a recently renovated property, featuring, a garden and barbecue facilities. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the apartment free of charge. The property is non-smoking and is set 2.2 km from Cairns Convention Centre. The hosts are the best! The house is beautiful and clean, the kitchen had everything that we needed. The garden is full of nice tropical plants.

Located in Cairns, less than 1 km from Cairns Station, Estilo Bed and Breakfast provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property features garden views and is 2 km from Cairns Convention Centre and 800 metres from The Cairns Civic Theater. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, and luggage storage for guests. We stayed 2 nights, one before our dive trip and one after. Divers den shop was literally 2 doors down. The place is super quiet, really clean. The room with and the room without private bathroom were equally nice. The breakfast was a nice touch! Host was accommodating as well, allowed us to leave our luggage and check out a little later because one of us had a pain flair up. Free laundry was also great. The ceiling fans everywhere help move the humid air around and the AC in the rooms were nice. We are at a Chinese Cafe nearby that was friendly and pretty good food. McDonald's is really close. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. Perfect stay. Fabulous location. Gorgeous walk from cliffron Beach to Palm cove through the mangroves and along the beach. Wonderful breakfast home made!!! Beautiful home garden and pool and beautiful hosts. Perfect stay 👌

Very nice place, great details of the room, small and cozy. We enjoyed our 1 night stay and Wayne was very nice and drove us to the airport at 4am in the morning .
