A Truly Unforgettable Stay in Hoedspruit! We had the most incredible 4-night stay at Wild dog guest lodge, a villa inside a wildlife estate in Hoedspruit. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the host-Vicky and Henro’s genuine kindness, attention to detail, and heartfelt hospitality. Every interaction felt sincere, thoughtful, and welcoming. The villa itself is spacious, clean, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms are comfortable, the layout is well thought out, and every function of the home—from the kitchen to the outdoor areas—made our stay very convenient. The peaceful, natural surroundings made this a perfect place to relax and unwind. During our stay, we spotted various wild animals just walking pass the villa—Nyala, Duiker, Warthogs—which made the experience feel even more magical and connected to nature. The breakfasts were fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared with the animals, coming to the waterhole. On the morning we had an early game drive, the host even packed a gorgeous breakfast for us to take along. Really lovely breakfast during dame drive. We also booked all our game drive activities to Kruger and in Big 5 Game drive, through the host, and every experience exceeded our expectations and we met all big 5 and other more. From start to finish, everything was arranged perfectly, and we felt completely taken care of—even though we didn’t rent a car, everything was smooth and easy throughout our stay. This is a place we would return to in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a serene, nature-filled, and wonderfully hosted stay in Hoedspruit, this Wilddog guest lodge is the perfect choice.

The accommodation is located in the heart of a wildlife reserve, which provides a unique experience. When unpacking the car, we already saw three giraffes in our garden, and every time we drove up /down to the accommodation was a mini game drive (with push babies, wildebeest, baboon, etc.)! The park and its surroundings are astonishing. Furthermore the hosts offer plenty of insightful experiences on site, but also recommend fun and breathtaking activities off-site (such as the Blyde River Crouse and the must-see leopard trail). We enjoyed the bush walk with the host, and really got to learn plenty of African wildlife! The cabin was fully equipped and clean, with some nice touches as a large spotting deck with flare lights, a braai / fire place, and they where installing a small pool when we were there. Also the inside was fully equipped with plenty of cutlery, clean plates, and other useful kitchenware. Also, since there are not a lot of cabins on the property, you really have an exclusive experience in the wild.

AWESOME! Ann and her husband were incredible with us. The place itself is a paradise on earth. It was totally worth to drive from Johanesburg to Nyaleti Lodge and enjoy two days of Safari in a reserve that is really close to the place.

We liked everythg. It was the perfect spot to rest and recover from 2 days of flying to south Africa. Food was great and the surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. Can't recommend highly enough and a fabulous start to our holiday

If you're looking for a place to hide and enjoy nature and wildlife, Geminthebush is the ideal location. We were treated very well by the staff and all the ladies were very friendly. In addition to breakfast, we also enjoyed dinner on some evenings, the mushrooms for breakfast (I need to know the secret spices used🙂) and braai on Saturday for dinner (oh that tasty source, I will come back for it) were delicious. I will definitely go back.
