Nestled in a nice spot on the Carso mountain, not far from Trieste, it offers an outdoor swimming pool, not very large in side, still very pleasant. I did not try the spa, but the impression of relax and tranquillity was already achieved. The real strength of the hotel is the fine resturant. About my room I liked the bathroom. Staff smiling and helpful. Italian and English spoken. Breakfast with both large choice and top quality products, just a pity I could not fully enjoy after the gargantuesque dinner the evening before.

The location was good as we were heading to Croatia afterwards. Ready access to Trieste as well as Ljubljana. Quite close to the caves. A bit further for Lake Bled and Bohinjsko. The Soca valley is relatively close too. Surrounded by a vineyard the location was peaceful and quiet. The hosts were super. They had very little English and we had no Slovene but it did not matter. Very warm welcome and we all enjoyed the chat.

The stay at Posestvo Ravbar was fantastic. It's located in a cozy village in the heart of the Karts region. The hosts are really welcoming and the apartment is entirely renovated and modern. The bathroom is big and clean. Just as the rest of the apartment. I can also highly recommend the wine tasting and the physiotherapy by Matic, which sorted out my back pain after a cycling trip.
