The location is excellent. The area on the island La Vida is located on is on the eastern side BUT the suburb is outside of the very busy part of the island so going getting to most other parts of the island was easy and not through too much traffic (unless going to Victoria). La Vida has a beautiful view of the ocean and you can walk to the beach. Our hosts, Alfred and Marthe were most gracious and helpful. Once we arrived, they organized car hire, a deep-sea fishing trip and advised other excursions we wanted to experience. We thus always got the "local" knowledge and local cost, not the "foreigners" rate that sometimes get levied on visitors. They also willingly shared their knowledge of the Island, where to go and what to do. We would not hesitate to recommend La Vida to anyone wanting to experience the Seychelles and Mahe Island.

The garden is simply breathtaking, lush, vibrant, and lovingly cared for, with all kinds of tropical fruits. It felt like living in a dream. What truly made our stay unforgettable were the hosts. They are some of the kindest, most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. From the warm welcome to the little surprises they left for us throughout the stay, everything was done with genuine care and attention to detail. You can feel how much heart they put into creating this space. Our room was spotless, beautifully arranged, peaceful and already dreaming of our return.

I was surprised how Host treated us. It was beyond my expectations. Husband and wife managing everything and very successful. They take care of you as their own friend guest, very decent polite people. They have own car company and made a discount for me for 2 weeks (35 Euro daily) on top of that very flexible on extended hours, pick up and drop off in airport. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Needed food already was in the kitchen (and yes btw you have a private kitchen in your own room) and all kinds of exotic fruits from their farm which is just next to home and i recommend visiting it. The Host did everything is her power to make us happy. Organized trip to other islands. Also, they are cooking romantic seafood dinner with candles on your own terrace for each guest in the last day as the surprise. And the location is perfect if you like the nature. You are like in the jungle surrounded by Forrest, Mountains on the Hill and thinging birds in the morning. They are also building new guest house next to existing. I have been at several locations on the island and tried different guest houses. This one is DEFINITELY worth trying. If i visit Mahe again, this place will be on my spot list.
