Fantastic location, very well equipped house, both interior and outdoor facilities. Quiet terrasse looking up to the Pico and viewing the sea. Five minutes drive (or 15 min walk) to a beautiful sea natural pool. In the UNESCO wineyards of the island. A wonderful choice.

A beautiful house, well equipped, lovely location.Very much appreciated the welcome basket and the super kind delivery of donuts and bread. Very quiet location but with easy access to the village for cafes and an excellent shop. Lots of lovely clean and fresh towels available. Great coffee machine. Very welcome air conditioning. Fab outdoor space. Would highly recommend!

Very nice hotel. Good location. We were very well received. Very friendly and attentive owner. The communal areas (kitchen, lounge) are well kept and well equipped. The private double room is very nice and cosy. It was great to have a heating system as the air was quite damp. We stayed there in winter and we were mostly the only guests. Don't hesitate to come and visit Alexandra :)

In twenty plus years with booking.com this was the best apartment we have stayed in. All of the minor annoyances we usually encounter were not there. The ensuite had a fair sized cubicle with a good shower and a basket for toiletries, there was a lot of storage space, flat surfaces near the hand basin for your toiletries, hooks on the wall and even a proper plug which worked. The sofa provided comfortable seating for both of us as did the table and four chairs. There was a wardrobe with sufficient shelves and hanging space for two people with proper wooden coat hangers not the usual pin and socket type loved by hotels. The kitchenette is extremely well equipped with oven, induction hob, full size fridge and microwave so as to enable full self catering. There are even four bins - three dedicated to recycling. The apartment is well soundproofed both internally and externally (with the windows closed obviously). Wifi reception is excellent. This is also access to a laundry containing both washing machine and a dryer as well as the usual drying racks. Finally due to self check in we did not meet the owner but he was in constant communication with us and quickly responded to any message.

A very attractive, nicely decorated 2 bedroom suite on the top floor of the host's home. From the balcony off the living room and master bedroom there is a beautiful view of the fields below and the ocean beyond. The kitchen is well equipped, so it was easy to cook our own meals. Sandra spoiled us with a welcome basket of goodies that included a jar of homemade jam! There was also a decent supply of coffee pods, some teas, and basics such as olive oil, vinegar, and salt and pepper, which we appreciated. After we were unsuccessful in booking a taxi to take us to the Sao Roque ferry terminal, Sandra came to the rescue and arranged a ride for us. The only improvements I would recommend are a light over the kitchen sink and a heated towel rack in the bathroom.
