I hiked from Caniçal to Faial and this appartment was in the perfect place for the night. It has a washing machine, nice cooking area, a small terrace and a rain shower. All you need after an exhausting day. Also the owners are very supportive and the location is quiet.

The house is perfectly located as a place from where you can go on foot to several very attractive hiking trails. All of these trails have a loop option and you can return home by a different route. For guests with a car, there is also a very good and quick access to the levadas and trails in the area of Santana and Sao Jorge and to the Sao Lorenco peninsula. You can get there earlier and much faster than from Funchal, which is very important if you want to find a parking space. In addition, in the morning there was always fresh homemade bread or buns waiting at the door.
