The apartment was really big and spacious, with comfortable beds and furnishings and a really well equipped kitchen. Great location in the little town centre, and attached to a pub which served really good food, either to eat in the pub, or to takeaway. An ideal location for us to explore the beautiful Catlins area.

Everything was lovely and the views from the unit were amazing. Our bedroom was great with a comfortable king bed and great shower/bathroom. Everything was very clean and the hosts were very friendly without being intrusive. We were the only guest so had the common area to ourselves as well and enjoyed the excellent included continental breakfast. Highly recommend The Salty Bushman for your stay in The Catlins.

    This place is spotlessly clean, homely and the staff are amazingly helpful and don’t mind spending time answering questions about what to do in the surrounding area. It has good facilities, washing and drying machines, communal kitchen and nice dining area. The Lodge used to be hospital so lots of rooms and wooden floor corridors. Quiet location with hens wandering outside. You can buy their eggs - I love this place as have been before. It’s peaceful and friendly clean and tidy and you feel the owner goes the extra mile with a smile.
