I had a wonderful stay at Divine Kathmandu Hotel, located conveniently in the heart of the city. I had an absolutely perfect stay at Rest Up. Although sharing a 12-bed dorm never sounds like the most ideal, it was a really good experience, I had really lovely roommates and made some great friends in the whole hostel. Everyone is so friendly, including the staff, the whole place has a homely feel to it with plenty of space to sit on your own or sit with others. They also have a kitchen where you can pay for meals, the food’s really good and they also have a fridge with beer and water when you fancy a drink.

Oasis Hotel is at the Kantipath entrance to Thamel, next door to the Garden of Dreams, two minutes walk from Himalayan Java coffee house and Fire & Ice pizzeria, and just metres from the new Chhaya Centre. There are also lovely restaurants, spas and minimart next door. Rooms are spacious, with good natural light and ours included a fridge which was a bonus. The bathroom shower was hot with strong pressure. The hotel has its own small Cafe and offers indoor and outdoor dining, although we only ate breakfast there. The complimentary breakfast buffet was reasonable. What really puts Oasis above other mid-range hotels is its customer service. The staff, especially the manager, are very invested in making sure you are happy and having the best experience possible! Nothing was too much of a problem, and our requests were attended to very promptly. Their complimentary pickup service from the airport was an added bonus.

    A very easy location. Room was not large, but big enough for 2 people and luggage,vand quite comfortable. Appreciated the Filtered water available to fill up your bottles. There were a number of nice sitting areas including garden and balcony. Owners kindly looked after our bags while we went off trekking. Would recommend Fresco Retreat for sure.
