What truly stood out was the personalized touch of a small tour of the villa and its surroundings, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the area. The villa itself exudes charm and elegance, with spacious rooms that are meticulously designed for comfort. Our accommodation boasted not only comfortable beds but also a fully equipped kitchen, providing us with the convenience of preparing our own meals if we wished to do so. This thoughtful inclusion added a level of flexibility to our stay, making us feel right at home. However, what truly set Villa Rumassala apart was its exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Menaka, in particular, epitomized hospitality with her warm demeanor and attention to detail. Her genuine care for our comfort and satisfaction truly made us feel like royalty. Additionally, we cannot speak highly enough of the Tuktuk driver, Sandaru, whose fair prices and friendly demeanor made exploring the area a breeze. His knowledge of the area and willingness to accommodate our preferences enhanced our overall experience immensely. In conclusion, our time at Villa Rumassala was nothing short of magical. From the warm welcome to the impeccable service, every moment was crafted with care and attention to detail. Amazing accommodation experience! I was staying for 9 nights. The location is very good: not so far from city, but groceries, banks are near. Not so far from train station but you will never hear the trains. Wild nature. Cabins are very clean, good equipped. Washmachine is available. Place for parking is available and owner helped with motorbike renting. The breakfasts were overwhelming! Everyday fresh, every day new option, generous portions. Once owners arranged a local-style dinner 😍 The owner was very helpful and friendly, did a much for my comfortable staying, thank you very much! ❤️

Very cozy Villa away from the crowd. The place is owned and run by a very nice couple . 11/10 customer service felt like a home . The owner even dropped me off to the railway station because it was very early in the morning . The breakfast is continental and quite good.

The owners of this hotel are wonderful the staff are lovely and friendly, the rooms are spacious with very comfy beds and sofas. Wi-Fi is outstanding. Swimming pool huge. Omelettes are perfect and great coffee. Monkeys can be seen in the trees from the garden and the location is perfect it sits only a short walk from jungle beach which has a great restaurant and the beach is beautiful and the village on Unawatuna with loads of amazing beach restaurants and little shops.

    This place is just perfect for everything you need for a comfortable and affordable stay. The value for money is incredible, with a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, fridge and wifi all available. Sometimes I worry about staying in ‘non-AC/fan’ rooms but the fan was super strong and I actually felt abit cold which is great for me in this heat! Additionally, the location is less than a 10minute walk to the main road will all shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend and will be back if I need somewhere to stay in Unawatuna!

    Great location! Very near to the beach and had many restaurants nearby. Big rooms equipped with wifi and water heater. Great view from the balcony. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Very fast responses over text and calls. Would definitely recommend it for people with budget trips.

    The apartment was very clean and comfortable. A/C was working perfectly. The bathroom was clean as well and the hot water was working very well. It was nice to have a fridge and little kitchen area. Both, the owner and house keeper were very friendly and helpful. They made sure if everything‘s fine on a regular basis. The owner also arranged a scooter rental for us. The location was very quiet and at night there weren’t any noises so that we could sleep very well. Thanks for a great stay! We would definitely come back :)

    Judie with her lovely family and staff was the best part of my stay in Unawatuna. I started my Sri Lanka trip with a nice cooking class and it was the best dish & taste I’ve ever had so far. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. It’s also a quit location surrounded by tress. I extended for two more nights to see some more near this place like Galle and Ahangama.
