I loved everything about Halketha. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality from Chitra, Mary and Nelumi. We were taken to our villa across a beautiful landscaped garden that also stays true to its love for the natural environment. The villa itself was perfection - perfectly decorated, clean, homely but also provided you with a sense that you were in luxury. The outdoor bathroom was a cherry on top, with a beautiful araliya tree in the middle. During our stay, we were not only treated close to family, but the quality of service was nothing like I had seen in Sri Lanka for a long time. The food was authentically Sri Lankan, with a rich yet classic taste. The property is close to mini waterfalls and great walks. This is a stay I will keep coming back to. A reminder that authentic and wholesome experiences still exist in Sri Lanka.

The Staff of Ellankanda Villa made our stay so very pleasent. The food was excellent(!) and we always felt very cared about. Rooms are very clean and you can tell that there is a sense of detail, which give the place its charme. It is a quite place, but you can nicely explore the area by yourself (or in our case we were even gives a small tour by the Staff - thank you again!). Absolut recommendation if you want to spend some quite days in a great place.

We stayed 4 night in this villa and our stay was more than fantastic!!! The host Shameera is such a great and wonderful guy. The villa is located in a very green garden with a lot of space around the building. You can sit on the veranda and look for hours only in the garden and you will see real nature with different flowers, trees, animals etc. It was so relaxing!! :-) The breakfast is served by the host every morning on the veranda outside and it contains day by day different local specialties with a wonderful taste. Also his hints, what to to in the surroundings and possible activities are great and useful. Thank you once again for hosting us in your small escape from normal life, Shameera. It was amazing to stay in this apartment. Great location, 2 amazing restaurants only 2 min walk, 4 min to the best beach in Bentota. AC works great, king size bed 😍. But the best about this vacation were our hosts. They are super friendly and welcoming. They organised all excursions for us🙂 and always recommended places to visit and see. 🥰

A restaurant where you can order delicious seafood with a very beautiful beach. The staff are very kind and always look after us. Also, the room we got was very big and it was very clean. I loved this beach screen the most. I recommend it.  And we will definitely be back

This is a wonderful place with great bungalows, a lovely garden with pool and the nicest hosts who will do everything to make you feel at home. Even before you arrive Nelson makes you feel so welcome and he cooks a delicious rice and curry. I wish I could have stayed longer!

We had an unforgettable stay at Amber House. The room was enormous, with all modern comforts, a very spacious bathroom, and a king-size bed that made our nights perfect. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious, and every detail showed how much care was put into making our stay special. We loved the complimentary boat ride to the stunning, endless beach – such a unique and beautiful experience. The boat safari on the river and through the mangroves, guided by Shen, was a real highlight and gave us lasting memories. Most of all, the hospitality of our hosts, Nuwan and his lovely wife, together with their attentive and friendly team, made us feel truly at home. Their warmth and kindness turned our stay into something exceptional. We highly recommend Amber House to anyone visiting Bentota – we cannot wait to come back!
