We had a really good time at Greenline Homestay. The room was very big, clean and we had a new bathroom and our own balcony. Our host was remarkably hospitable and cooked wonderfully. We always got a little extra dish for free like a salad or a jackfruit curry. Our Host knew the surrounding area very well and gave us plenty of recommendations for our trips. Furthermore, he drove us to the next monastery at 4.30am in his car for a very cheap price. This was our favourite Homestay in Sri Lanka. Really recommended!!!

We stayed for 2 nights and had a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer our questions and assist us. The view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful, a perfect place to relax. Although the location is a bit far from the city, the property offers its own shuttle service to the center at any time you need, which was very convenient. The only small downside was that the room got a bit chilly in the evenings.

The most fantastic place I’ve ever stayed in my life. The family are incredibly welcoming and friendly. I arrived late and they collected me from Ella train station. I was welcomed with a delicious home cooked meal that was absolutely superb. The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. From the balcony you can look across to little Adam’s peak and see the beautiful river running down through the garden. I’m writing this whilst drinking a coffee on the balcony after doing my best to finish the huge delicious breakfast prepared for me. The food is the best I’ve tasted in Sri Lanka. I only planned to stay 1 night but I have already extended to 4 nights 10/10 the best place in the world I have ever stayed👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Everything was very clean. We had hot water, toilet paper, soap, and good wifi. The breakfast was very delicious and every day we had something different. The family was welcoming and helped us in every possible way when we asked. It is literally in the middle of nature, very quiet, green, and you can enjoy the sound of birds,insects. Highly recommend Mountain Shack if you want a relaxing, quiet stay in Ella!

Serene environment, top quality service from the lovely owner, the room was immaculate with everything we needed and very picturesque. The host even provided us with tea, water and laundry service. Possibly the best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka, and do not be put off by the negative reviews regarding the driveway, it is easy via Tuktuk and worth it for the views and privacy. Their tuktuk shuttle is free and available 24/7 - thank you again for a wonderful stay ❤️ the best place to eat is Ella Siyapatha Hut Restaurant. This was the most authentic meal we had that was cooked by the gorgeous family. Truly an amazing experience if you’re in Zella

Pasindu and his family are super kind and helpful with any needs you have. They also showed us Ella and it‘s beautiful nature. The room is brand new and really wonderful. Last but not least, the breakfast was super delicious! Thank you and see you soon.
