We really enjoyed camping midway through our Japan trip! The campground is well set up and we had everything we needed to ensure a cozy stay. They provided sleeping bags in addition to regular bedding since it was a cold night (on top of heaters). They also have a lot of kitchen items for use which was fun to choose from! The addition of the deck and foot onsen during sunset was spectacular! The food that we arranged was great! We would stay here again.

What really stands out, is the 5-star service by the receptionists. Actually even better than 5 stars, as there's none of the condescending glances one might get at 5-star hotels. :-D I'm especially grateful for the extra help I got from the bilingual Japanese receptionist. Despite hostel-style accommodation, I slept very well and found the bed to be comfy. The place is easy to reach on foot from Magome-juku bus stop, even with a large suitcase, as there's a pavement all the way.

This was one of the best places we stayed in Japan. The host is great, he owns over 20,000 records, and leaves a selection in your room for you to play during your stay. The place is very spacious, much bigger than it looks in the pictures. We stayed here to walk some of the Nakasendo Trail. If you want to experience staying in a small Japanese village, with a friendly host, then I recommend that you stay here.

The house is amazing, I was sad that I only spent one night there, it was a great experience to stay in a Japanese house, Assi was very friendly and welcoming, made me feel at home, helped me to get a restaurant as I arrived late, and gave suggestion for my breakfast next morning.I definitely recommend this place. -One of the most beautiful accomodations we have ever stayed worldwide (and yes we travel a lot and woften upper scale) -Exceeded the expectations. The place was recently renovated and the output was really impressive focusing on all little details -Location was also great as the accomodation was on the hiking trail connecting tsumago and magome. The area of the accomodation and the nearby village is less touristy than tsumago/magome giving a more local offbeaten feeling path on the holidays -Lovely young hosts , you can see that they placed a lot of personal effort and work. The speak good english as well. - we have stayed in more than 5 accomodations in multiple places in our Japan trip. that was by far the best one. -Nice bathtub shower

We had 2 wonderful nights here and we absolutely loved it. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They even gave us a ride to the station (multiple times), provided bear bells for our hikes and even helped us cook dinner XD. Also, the breakfast was phenomenal!
