Great hospitality from a truly caring family. Got a personal tour of the apple orchard and the mushroom factory, which was both fun and really interesting. Getting to try all their juices, ciders and freshly picked vegetables really made this place unique.

The host Michiyo was the absolute sweetest and kindest lady. She brought my kids to her garden to pick fresh veges and was so warm. The place was beautiful, and made the experience immersive.

The house is gorgeous, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The owner's attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay truly memorable. Very nice and traditional ryokan renovated 3 years ago with a lot of luxurious taste. The hallway to eat diner and breakfast is amazing dated from edo period. Rooms are modern and spacious. The chef was working in refined restaurant in Tokyo before and he is cooking an amazing food, the best I had during my trip in nagano. Staff was nice and friendly. I really recommend.

This was a really special place to have had the chance to stay in. Beautiful old building with so many original features and character (paper sliding walls, futons, tatami mats). It was a total contrast to modern identikit hotels and a great opportunity to experience a traditional Japanese wooden home whilst on the Nakasendo trail. Our pre-ordered dinner (chicken hot pot) was amazing and the simple breakfast was ready to help ourselves to in the little kitchen. Wish we could have stayed longer. The manager was so welcoming.
