Situated half an hour from the coast in the old town or Tortora, this is a little hidden gem. Fabulous friendly hosts. Incredible breakfast which included home baked local goods and very reasonably priced evening meal (5 courses) featuring local cuisine. I wasn’t looking for this place . It was a stopover on my way through to Rome from the South. I will definitely be back. Excellent value for money Photos taken from top of the village at dusk of a misty winter evening. Just beautiful. Thank you

Nice and well-kept b&b. I have noticed some reviews wrote it was tricky to find, but Google Maps took us straight there. I had a Garmin GPS in the car, and that did not help much, but there are also sign to guide the way. There are several nice beaches up and down the coast and when we visited in October we had them pretty much to ourselves

Very nice location, superb sunset view from the terrace and from the room. Great breakfast, the owner was vey friendly and looked after us extremely well. She organised the restaurant for us and it was great value for money. Free parking, but only suitable for small cars. Quite an adventure getting back onto the main road, but no problem.(Larger vehicles could park at the restaurant above the apartment, but 100m or so away. I guess the owner would carry your luggage down in her car, if asked...)

Staff was extrardordinary. They went out of our way to make sure were comfortable. We came without a car, so, they were very helpful with advice on both public transportation and taxi options. Breakfast was exceptional, table side service, with a large variety of things, all very delicious. The building was well maintained and it had a wonderful and colorful patio, very comfortable to sit and catch some sun, surrounded by trees and flowers.

Biagio was a wonderful host from start to finish, he did everything he possibly could to welcome us with local advice and arrival instructions. The room is perched up a little stone staircase and has everything that you could need, it is very tastefully decorated and has the romantic appeal of a proper village house. Maratea is just as you would hope to find a gorgeous italian town unchanged with lots of character and friendliness. We ate at the Oenotecha, which offers wonderful ham and cheese platters and selected wines. The marina at Maratea is small but very perfectly formed. Altogether a delightful stay.
