It means you can reach Venice by train in about 1h45, same if not less with Verona, Padova, etc. Trento and Bologna are a couple of hours away by car. If you go trekking you'll probably need a car, but this is a great location too. The breakfast is really good, with a nice selection of local products. The location is a little out the way from public transport, so you may need the use of a car. Schio is only 15-20 minutes down the road and you can park the car free at the back of the train station.
