Well hotel was nicer than we expected. What makes it exceed expectations are the people who work there. Everyone from the receptionist to cleaning ladies and hosts do their beat to make you feel welcome. All the time!! It is a simple setup, but clean and well furbished. It is centrally located so expect town noise until 1am every day, but that is unavoidable in Central Naples. At the end I want to mention the people; they are all worthy of a 5 star hotel

Our hostess Vittoria and her father were very friendly and helpful. She met us at the entrance to the building, as previously arranged by email, to give us the keys and accompanied us into the apartment and personally went over everything in great detail. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. Vittoria was extremely helpful, and immediately responsive to communication by WhatsApp. She went above and beyond to help with opening the apartment when the key was with another family member, provided restaurant suggestions and also arranged a cab for the airport. She was a superb hostess and clearly committed to making our stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast was at a Caffe next door to the building. There is also a supermarket located just steps away. The apartment was centrally located, and within walking distance to many places that we wanted to visit. All in all, this made our first visit to Naples, a truly great experience.

Arriving at the hostel and seeing the old building, I first thought it would be terrible… but when I entered the hostel my mind was BLOWN! This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in during my 30 years of backpacking the world. The room and the bed were excellent and comfortable and the in-room toilet/shower is a major plus. What I loved most was the GIANT GARDEN with tables, orange trees, tents, and so much more. Even more amazing were the three resident cats and a rabbit that would hang out with you in the common areas. The check-in desk was also a coffee bar and pub where you could get drinks all day/night. Honestly, I almost didn’t want to leave the hostel and see the city, it was THAT good there. Oh, and the staff are the friendliest people who will direct you to the best places to eat/drink/play/tour and more. I love HOPEstel-Secret Garden so MUCH! I will definitely be back the next time I am in Napoli.
