The property itself is unique — an authentic historical house with a beautiful garden and lovely views of the river. Having breakfast in the garden was so pleasant and satisfying. We really enjoyed how peaceful and quiet the place was. It was the perfect environment to relax and truly get some rest. The property is a bit far from Limerick city center, but the host was incredibly helpful, giving us rides to town and to the supermarket. He was very friendly and a pleasure to chat with. We even had dinner together and truly enjoyed his company. He showed us real hospitality — warm, generous, and genuine, which made our stay even more memorable. The facilities were good. The bathroom was very clean and comfortable, particularly compared to other places we stayed at in Ireland. The bed mattress was super comfortable too. There was a fully equipped kitchen available for guests to use. Although breakfast wasn't included, the host generously allowed us access to the food in the kitchen, which included everything from bread, butter, and jams to pasta and other ingredients for cooking. This made it very convenient to prepare our own meals and added to the feeling of being welcomed and at home. It was a great value for money, and I would definitely stay there again if I return to Ireland.

This accomidation truly blew me away — it was even better than the photos and far exceeded the description in the listing. Every detail had been thought of, from the cleanliness and comfort to the little extras that made it feel luxurious. Honestly, it felt more like a boutique hotel (only better) — quiet, private, beautifully decorated, and incredibly well-maintained. The host was warm, responsive, and clearly cares about creating a five-star experience. I’ve stayed in many places, but this one stands out as exceptional. I almost didn’t want to leave! If you're considering booking — do it. You won’t be disappointed.

The apartment is exceptional. It is modern, large and very comfortable. It has a kitchen area, lounge, bedroom and bathroom, so compared to most B&Bs we have stayed in, it is very big. It has WiFi that works very well. The owner went out of his way to make sure our experience was a good one.

    Convenient location in the town. Traditional Irish hospitality and Paddy pulls the nicest pint of Guinness I've had in a long time. Lovely dark cosy pub too, with an interesting collection of fishing equipment and other curios.

    I stayed in the kingfisher for a few nights as I was working in limerick City, its ideally located only 10 mins drive , The room and bed was really comfortable and warm . Fridge /microwave available also tea and coffee.. Internet was really good .. Paddy who is the host is a gentleman, really friendly and welcoming , could not do enough for you , the bar down stairs is fabulous , really relaxing .. its a fabulous setting I highly recommend.Great pint of Guiness 🙂 aswell

    Castleconnell is an underrated jewel of a location, where you can hear the Shannon river rushing by. There are two stunning spots to contemplate the expanse of water. The Kingfisher is a historic coach house building overlooking Castleconnell. Its owner, Paddy, is knowledgeable and thoughtful. The electric blanket was on when I arrived, and I enjoyed a hot port and a chat with Paddy in the historic pub. Very peaceful sleep.
