A short but beautiful stay in Ruteng! Nina and Faldi are great hosts, welcoming, helpful and friendly. We felt so lucky to witness a traditional ceremony with them! They are now renovating/expanding the homestay and offer different tours and activities. Thanks and good luck!

I waited until the end of our trip to give my rating so I had a baseline for comparison. This place is very comfortable and the hosts are super nice people, with great English language skills. The breakfast and snacks they prepared were delicious and sumptuous.

Amazing hosts and perfect experience! Hosts are extraordinary nice and friendly! They helped us a lot with laundry, dinners and recommendations what to visit in the area. They also speak english very well. The place is completly new, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very delicious. In the walking distance there is a traditional rice field and village. Overall great price for value!

Petronella, Alexander and Abel were wonderful hosts. They welcomed us into their home in such a cheerful and friendly way. They helped us renting a scooter and also with a phone call when we needed it. Petronella is also a wonderful chef and we enjoyed her simple and genuine cooking very much. The accommodation is very clean and simple but has everything you might need and the bed was really comfortable. The shower has hot water and that's a plus because in the evening the air is quite fresh. We can only recommend Skipper house!

We had by far the best homestay experience ever! Fluffy, Theresia and Andrea were incredible hosts - it felt that we were treated as family more than guests. We shared great conversations and a very nice dinner with the family, and Fluffy was so kind to give up his time to show us around in Ruteng Pu’u. We stayed at Piter’s house for one night and we had a lovely experience. He prepared us a welcome snack, took us to the coffee plantation to explore it a little and then to taste the coffee in a coffeeshop. Keep in mind that he is still building up his homestay and he is doing his best to make you feel as comfortable as possible. We can only recommend you to stay in their home and help them expand 🙏🏼

The family went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at home. We felt part of their family. The rooms were clean and cosy. The breakfast was beyond tasty and amazing, along with the dinners they offer too. They accommodate every need and helped us find activities to do every day, giving us tour guides or advice. We did 3 nights originally and loved it so much we extended to 5 nights. We got to speak to their other welcoming family members/ neighbours and even attend the local wedding party as part of the family. Best Homestay we have had in our 6 month travel, we will be back :)

Sweetest, kindest family with the funniest daughters. Absolutely beautiful experience to be included in their daily life, eating and praying together. Playing and dancing with the youngest daughters and having great conversations. One of the few authentic homestay experiences. What a warm welcome I have received. Even I got to read the instructions in French. The owner and her team would do their best to make you feel like home. I have never seen a hostel as clean as this one Incredible!!!
