The beds and chairs were very comfortable - I had a deep night's sleep both nights. The location was ideal - in the heart of Coniston: after a good day's walking, the town's pubs and eplaves to eat were close by. Frances the host was very friendly and helpful pointing out where to park. The breakfast was very tasty. The meals were very good value for money as well as I was able to get a main meal and dessert for £15-£17 compared to eating in the village. The hostel is a short walk away from Coniston centre which is ideal if you plan to go for a drink with a group to one of the village's pubs.
