SIMON, the owner is exceptional! As former tour-guide he is well-versed in all sights not only in and around Gondar, but in Ethiopia as a whole. He is willing to offer his valuable advise and beyond that support with organizing things. Simon is authentically friendly and hospitable, always available and helpful but never intrusive or pushy. You can feel that he must treat his staff very well as they all share the same style. I can wholeheartedly recommend his house as base for a stay in this area. And: The lodge is strategically located right at the fence of the caste-complex and has - from the terrasse - a great view.

Very clean and comfortable room with a huge balcony. The staff was very helpful, a very good contact with staff. Especially the young man at the reception - Solomon - was very supportive and helpful. Also an owner was always ready to help. The room was well equiped and spacious. Breakfast was very good - good service, tasty, a la carte. Good location and secure place.
