Johnny was the best host that you can imagine. He knows a lot about animals and is very helpful. He recommends nice places where you can do activitys around the area. Especially the night tour and the cacao tour are very nice. The hotel has a small garden with a lots of animals. You can see tucans and frogs around the area. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is very good. This place is definitely an recomendation. It was the nicest place where we have been so far in Costa Rica.

This beautiful accommodation is very spacious, well equipped for cooking and close to the main road while also right next to nature. Our hostess, Maria, took great care of us and even offered a cheap ride to the national park, which is worth a visit. While we only understand a few bits of Spanish, communication with her was easy and joyful!

Everything was perfect, the apartment is fully equipped , there is a washing machine which help a lot when traveling for several days. TV bedroom has Netflix included. The owners leave on the property near by and was very helpful and very friendly! You can park the car in front of the apartment and there is a gate that close every night. Safe area and safe property. Beautiful view from the bedroom. Highly recommend if you visit rio Celeste, that is near by! Near the apartment on the Main Street you can find several stores/ restaurants and supermarket.

We absolutely loved our 5 night stay with Lusbeth, Alfredo, and family in the rustic cabins surrounded by their beautiful gardens. A generous, delicious, homemade breakfast was included. There was even home made passionfruit jam and fresh juice from their own fruits. There were many colourful birds, including toucans. They gave us a free night tour of their garden to see the frogs and other critters. They helped us organize activities and were genuinely kind. Our cabin was clean and comfortable with enough beds for 5 people. The kitchenette was a welcome addition so we could cook our own meals. I recommend supporting this local family by staying with them when you visit the Bijagua area and Volcanoes Tenorio and Miravalles. Brilliant stay new building which was very clean. Secluded location and seen lots of wildlife right outside our door in the morning with toucans and hummingbirds on trees just outside and even seen a sloth when leaving. Host was very friendly and helpful and would definitely recommend.

The location is perfectly situation to the El Pilon Ranger Station for Tenorio National Park and Rio Celeste. The owner of the property was so responsive, friendly, kind. The included breakfast was large and delicious, with multiple option. The accommodation was spotless. The restaurant next door was delicious (offered vegetarian and vegan options as well) and service was wonderful. Thank you!
