Malekus Mountain Lodge is a beautiful property. The Lodge is the perfect base for hiking the local parks, and the breakfasts are varied & delicious. Great rural location. Accommodation is well equpped. Garden is a green oasis. Best accessed by car but can take bus from Loberia and ask bus driver to stop outside Greenhouse Lodge. Ana the host is very helpful. As we didnt have a car, she arranged for a taxi to take us to the local hot springs and also to Upala bus station so that we could then catch bus to La Fortuna.

Great food, amazing views and hiking trails in the jungle. Definitely the best chocolate in Costa Rica! Pablo and Anna are knowledgeable and wonderful hosts. The views and the chocolate tour experiences are the best parts about a stay at La Anita.

My gf forgot her airpods in the hotel room, but the hotel arranged for them to be brought to us in Liberia which saved us from a really long drive. They truly went above and beyond.

Brilliant stay new building which was very clean. Secluded location and seen lots of wildlife right outside our door in the morning with toucans and hummingbirds on trees just outside and even seen a sloth when leaving. Host was very friendly and helpful and would definitely recommend.

Such a nice family owned place. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners are amazing people, and they gave us a tour in their garden with nice plants including cacao and coffee, we also got to go for searching frogs there. Very recommended!

Johnny was the best host that you can imagine. He knows a lot about animals and is very helpful. He recommends nice places where you can do activitys around the area. Especially the night tour and the cacao tour are very nice. The hotel has a small garden with a lots of animals. You can see tucans and frogs around the area. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is very good. This place is definitely an recomendation. It was the nicest place where we have been so far in Costa Rica.

beautifull jungle walk in the property with access to the beautifull river. Tucans and other birds visited us every morning. two minutes from the villa, is one of the nicest walks to a great watrfall.
