AustraliaAmazing location at the top of the Andes, spectacular views, historic building with lots of charm, very friendly and helpful staff. The accommodation was clean, quiet and comfortable. Drinks and dinner were available and breakfast provided. The staff made a special effort to store our bicycles. Overall a great and memorable experience. Highly recommend.

ArgentinaPortezuelo del Viento was a perfect hostel to stay at after the base camp trek to Aconcagua. The staff are super friendly and made us feel at home from the start. I would recommend staying for as long as you can on your trip, as there are lots of treks to do around the hostel, which the staff which gladly help you plan. Much Love, the couple from the north of England.

The location is great for Aconcagua, if you have a car. It's about a ten minute drive from the start of the trail and there's lots of parking. It's surrounded by beautiful mountains and has an outside seating area that allows you to enjoy it. The host, Daniel, is super friendly and was very accommodating, for example creating vegetarian options for me. The food is simple but tasty and well priced. Great option for a short stay to access the mountains and get an authentic experience.

The location was amazing, with mountains all around! Johana who works there was so friendly and cooks very well and taught me how to play an Argentine card game with cards I had never seen until then and there. And Mishi the cat is very sweet too! And met interesting travelers there.
