Located in a quiet, idyllic location near the town center, it felt like a little retreat every time we returned home. It’s a spacious house which keeps cool due to the tiling and multiple doors you can open. We didn’t need air con in September. We could close the gates so the dogs couldn’t get in, this allowed the kids to play outside. The three year old was so excited to have swings. After time in the outer islands we really needed to freshen up, so the showers and washing machine were helpful. There was good amounts of drying space, the kitchen was fully functional, and we were given our space to enjoy our holiday.

The air-conditioned holiday home consists of 4 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a toaster and a kettle, and 2 bathrooms with a shower and a hair dryer. Towels and bed linen are offered in the holiday home. The property has an outdoor dining area. We had a great stay at Tonga Cottage - and for Tonga, this accommodation is very good! It can be hard to find places with hot water & good facilities, but Tonga cottage catered to everything we needed! The host was incredibly generous & kind, plus she went overboard to ensure we had everything we needed for an amazing stay. Would highly recommend.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. I absolutely loved the home away from home feel of the lodge. The staff are so welcoming and Selina and the boys are wonderful hosts. Thank you so much for also inviting me to your church that truly was a highlight of my trip and the delicious fruit and avocados each morning for breakfast. My room was so comfortable, I was given two fans and the bathroom was clean and shower 🚿 nice hot water and pressure. I also enjoyed chilling in the lounge area with Masuil, apologies if I spelt his name wrong but we put face masks on and relaxed it was great. As a solo female traveller I'd highly recommend this lodge to anyone who is planning a trip to Tonga.
