Staying at Casa Dona Antonia was like stepping into a medieval dream. From the moment we arrived in the magical hilltop village of Monsaraz, we were completely enchanted. The sunsets here are the most breathtaking we’ve ever seen ,paired with local wine, fresh bread, olive oil, and the warm hospitality of the people, it was perfection. The lemon tree garden, the peaceful pool, and the endless views across the Alentejo landscape are memories we’ll cherish forever. A special thank you to Sr. Carlos for the heartfelt welcome and the delicious homemade breakfasts , they truly made us feel at home. We’re heading back to London with our hearts full of saudades already. We’re definitely coming back, and I honestly couldn’t recommend Casa Dona Antonia more!

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. It was clean and nicely decorated, we had everything we need in the room and in the shared facilities- kitchen, living room, patio. Excellent place to stay, the town is small and cute, next to Fisherman’s trail. I recommend the place for stay and would come back and suggest it to my friends as well.

Sines is 32 km from the guest house, and the beautiful village of Porto Covo is 19 km away. Vila Nova Milfontes is a lovely little seaside town and we’re glad we found this wonderful B&B which is just a few steps away from cafes, shops and restaurants. Room is simple and great value for money. Parking is free and easy, just outside the B&B. The beach is about 10mins walk away and the lighthouse (great place for sunset) another 15mins.

Boasting garden views, Monte da Isabel offers accommodation with patio, around 20 km from Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Pessegueiro Island is 21 km away and Sao Clemente Fort is 31 km from the country house. Breakfast was in the nearby restaurant where we also had our dinner the night before. Isabel was very friendly and we really enjoyed our one night in her beautiful house. The house is absolutely beautiful, very modern, extremely clean and so peaceful. Our weather was extremely cold but it would be perfect setting for a summer evening sitting out on the small patio. Thank you Isabel for sharing your house with us - it's a perfect location for walking on the Ruta Vicentina.

The host was also very friendly and she even had cake and coffee for us when we arrived.
