I never imagined the experience would be so fulfilling. Staying in the desert is more than just an adventure – it’s about surrendering to the vastness of the dunes, the purest silence, the countless stars, and above all, the hospitality and vision of the young entrepreneur, Ali. His camp, Thousand Stars Desert, is simply a ten out of ten. Located deep within the Wahiba (Sharqiya) Sands, surrounded by untouched dunes, it offers only two fully equipped tents, which makes the experience truly exclusive. The fact that there are only two rooms transforms the place into something unique and deeply personal. I can’t imagine traveling all the way to the desert to be surrounded by tourists. Here, it’s just you – alone with the desert, or perhaps sharing it with one other lucky guest. My tent had a huge, incredibly comfortable double bed – as good as, or even better than, any five-star hotel. The interior felt completely cozy and inviting. At night, the temperature drops, but Ali has thought of everything: the bedding is perfect, and nothing is missing. The bathroom is just a few steps away, fully equipped and spotless – shower, toilet, bidet, mirror, toiletries – everything works perfectly. You genuinely feel at home, and then you realize: I’m in the middle of an immense desert! Next to the tent, there’s a raised platform – a sort of private viewpoint – with soft mattresses and cushions where you can lie down and watch the end of the sunset. For the beginning of it, you should climb the dunes themselves. The views are breathtaking: you can watch the wind slowly shape the sand, and later, under the night sky, a dazzling display of stars appears in complete clarity. Camels wander nearby, their silhouettes visible on the horizon at sunset or dawn – curious and gentle presences that complete the scene. When night falls, torches are lit throughout the camp, guiding your way.

Exceptional stay in the desert bubbles! Staying in these beautifully decorated, pristine, and ultra-comfortable bubbles was a dream. The breathtaking view of the desert left us absolutely speechless. The meals were delicious, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming! A special shout-out to Ruben, who made our stay truly delightful with his kindness and professionalism. A heartfelt thank you to the owner, Said, whose unmatched generosity saved us when we got stuck in the desert with our 4x4—what an amazing person! We will definitely be back. Camp was clean and on a great location and very quiet. Food was very good and You get more than enough. Camp is small so You have a private Experience of desert which is great. But the best part is the owner Ibrahim and his friends, we spent the evening talking about everything we wanted to know about Oman and Omani lifestyle. Also, Ibrahim made the next morning very interesting with activities. Best Stay in the desert!

Camping in the desert was one of the most amazing experiences during our holiday in Oman. The campsite is set in an incredible landscape (for a visitor from Central Europe). The hospitality introduced us to Omani cuisine and the people are very friendly. I definitely recommend it.

Not cheap, but definitely very pleasant stay - nice, magic, rustical place, all facilities and food sufficient indeed, guys running the camp professional, really different experience. 10-15 min walk above camp goats and (some)cute camels.

This was the dessert experience we were hoping for. We had one night at another camp before this, which didn't come close to the level of hospitality, comfort, and experience that Sunrise was able to deliver. Great communication across channels, wonderful greeting from Faiz, great dune bashing session, right level of attentiveness, beautiful spacious tents, awesome location at top of dune for sunrise, delicious dinner and breakfast, evening campfire... great value for money.
