From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Buddika, who managed our transfers, meals, accommodation, and safari experience with incredible professionalism and kindness. He personally arranged our pick-up from Negombo, coordinated the drive to Wilpattu, and took care of every detail of our stay. The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. We are deeply grateful to Buddika for his warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Thanks to him, our journey through Sri Lanka started in the best possible way. Highly recommended!

Offering free bikes and garden view, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort is set in Habawewa, 39 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 39 km from Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. The guest house features family rooms. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They booked a safari in Wilpattu only 1.5 days before our arrival and everything was very well organised. The safari itself was much better than expected: we had the luck to see 4 leopards, a sloth bear and 4 golden jackals, on top of many beautiful birds and reptiles. The resort provided breakfast and lunch to take on the safari, as well as snacks and drinks. Everything was very tasty and plenty. Also breakfast and dinners were very tasty and more than we could eat. All in all, we had a very good stay. Thanks so much!!!!

Kalhara was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond—organizing a cultural evening, a great safari trip, and arranging tuk-tuks at fair prices. He helped with everything before, during, and after our stay. The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. The breakfast was also very good! Highly recommended!

The owner Jeewa is ready to assist you and organize for you everything you might need - from transport, Ayurveda massage, safari, daily trips or ginger biscuits 😀 They have a lovely daughter Oleena and we hope she will be the second generation manager of the home stay. His lovely wife Masha cooked traditional food for dinner and we love it. The room is very big and clean, as well as the bathroom. You will have a lovely private terrace and spectacular quite mornings with birds songs. And, of course you will have a breakfast. The location is in the forest and it's perfect spot for those who want to escape main road and traffic noise, but it's only 10-15 min walk to it. There is some small markets around in case you need something, a Buddhist temple, nice restaurants and of course all Jeewa's support. The owners, Leo and Wanda, couldn’t do enough to help our stay go smoothly. They helped shape are itinerary and suggestions additions that were fantastic, eg Sri Lankan dance show at the cultural centre, organising a fabulous yoga teacher, as well as great safari. Relaxed and happy vibe to the place with lovely pool area.

Ruwan and his staff were amazing! They were so kind and offered a lot of fun activities in the area. We really enjoyed our stay and their hospitality!

The beauty of this place lies with the amazing hospitality and competence of the host Wasantha, and the delicious local meals prepared by his wife. You really feel at home the very moment you step into their house. The room is basic but clean and comfortable. The location is good, just a 20min walk away from the centre (where the central bus station and shopping opportunities are). We also arranged with Wasantha pick up in Trincomalee and drop off in Jaffna, with full day tour of the locations away from the city centre. He also helped arranging tours of the old city and Mihintale. We were very satisfied with these services and found his prices very competitive compared to other similar services we got throughout our trip in SL. A final word: remember, this is a homestay, not an hotel, and in that league it is a very good one.
