Overall, I would highly recommend to stay here. It is also possible to organize a safari trip. The price seems fair, and the driver will pick you up directly from the house. I was very satisfied with how well it was organized.

They booked a safari in Wilpattu only 1.5 days before our arrival and everything was very well organised. The safari itself was much better than expected: we had the luck to see 4 leopards, a sloth bear and 4 golden jackals, on top of many beautiful birds and reptiles. The resort provided breakfast and lunch to take on the safari, as well as snacks and drinks. Everything was very tasty and plenty. Also breakfast and dinners were very tasty and more than we could eat. All in all, we had a very good stay. Thanks so much!!!!

Kalhara and his wife are truly amazing people – always available, always smiling, and genuinely eager to help with anything. They even arranged a massage and a delicious homemade dinner for us, which we enjoyed under the stars. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine made with love. Every detail was taken care of, and we felt more like guests in a family home than in a hotel. We can’t thank our hosts enough for such a beautiful experience. They helped shape are itinerary and suggestions additions that were fantastic, eg Sri Lankan dance show at the cultural centre, organising a fabulous yoga teacher, as well as great safari. Relaxed and happy vibe to the place with lovely pool area.

What an amazing experience! We came here for 3 nights after reading all these wonderful reviews. I have travelled a lot of places, but never ever have I actually thought of coming back to a place I have been already. That was until I stayed in Visu Villa. I was very sad to leave, because everything was just perfect. Ruwan and his team did everything they could to make our stay so perfect and always with a smile on their face. We felt very welcome, had a great room, the pool was nice and clean. The food was incredible, the evenings with a nice atmosphere. We also got a private safari where we spotted many elephants for a fair price and a tour around the village and even a lift to our next destination. Free of charge. Ruwan is the best host I have ever met. You can never find a better place to stay than here. ☺️ Thanks again to the whole team and we wish you all the best!

The beauty of this place lies with the amazing hospitality and competence of the host Wasantha, and the delicious local meals prepared by his wife. You really feel at home the very moment you step into their house. The room is basic but clean and comfortable. The location is good, just a 20min walk away from the centre (where the central bus station and shopping opportunities are). We also arranged with Wasantha pick up in Trincomalee and drop off in Jaffna, with full day tour of the locations away from the city centre. He also helped arranging tours of the old city and Mihintale. We were very satisfied with these services and found his prices very competitive compared to other similar services we got throughout our trip in SL. A final word: remember, this is a homestay, not an hotel, and in that league it is a very good one.
