This was a fantastic accommodation experience that exceeded expectations, with large and clean hotel rooms. Self service check-in, fully equipped with washing machines, microwaves, refrigerators, stoves, and dining tables. I only started choosing a hotel after arriving at Kagoshima Chuo Station and accidentally chose this one. Later on, I realized that the location of this hotel was very good, just a walk from the planetarium. You will experience how convenient it is to be close to the planetarium. I will choose this place again next time I come to Kagoshima.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautifully preserved 96-year-old Japanese-style house in Yakushima. The traditional atmosphere is incredibly charming, and you can truly feel the history and care that’s gone into maintaining the home. Everything was exceptionally clean and well-kept, making it both authentic and comfortable. Kimika was an amazing host—thoughtful, welcoming, and full of great energy. The decor in the house is very nice, and the view from the house is stunning as well. In the common room, Kimika also thoughtfully provided delicious local coffee and tea from Yakushima, which added an extra touch of warmth and hospitality. The kitchen also has everything you need. The house is very close to Isso beach, which is a great place to see the sunset. This is the perfect place to unwind and connect with the beauty of Yakushima, and also connect with the locals. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a unique and memorable experience on this magical island.

Yakushima Environmental Culture Village Center is less than 1 km from Yakushima Park Guesthouse, while Scuba Diving Ever Blue Yakushima is a 13-minute walk from the property. Yakushima Airport is 9 km away. The hospitality was impeccable. The host was always available for everything. Probably witnessed the peak of Japanese culture (with people being helpful in every way possible) here. The host (without even us asking him for anything) found that our shoes were wet after a trek put them for drying (on a drying machine) only for us to find the shoes all dried up the next day. Unbelievable. The location is walkable from the port and has house had everything you’d need. The kitchen and the shower was equipped with everything that you’d need during your stay. The house was small but very clean. Would highly recommend.
