Great location in a new house away from over developed tourist area but close enough to walk to most everything. Stayed 3 nights in clean, comfortable Japanese style room with private bathroom and started every morning with a great Japanese breakfast put together by the proprietor and his family. Owner is a fantastic guy who went out of his way to make our stay memorable - highly recommended

Plenty of space for the three of us. There were some extras provided like umbrellas and slippers, and the aircon worked very well. Amazing facilities (e.g., washer, shower/bathroom). Was also a handy booklet inside with great local restaurants, facts about Kanazawa, and information for a "Museum Passport" which we took full advantage of. Walking distance from food, museums, and Kanaza Castle. I will definitely recommend this place for anyone who comes to Kanazawa, and will try stay here again when I return.

The rooms, the bathroom and the kitchen were very well equipped and decorated. The machiya is also located in a walking distance from the train station and the most popular tourist points of interest (e.g. the castle, Kenrokuen, Oumichou Market etc.). This was an ideal stay, I have nothing to point out :)

Including the really nice background story if the house and his family. We saw some nice object as well. The house is nicely decorated and the flowers were gorgeous. He also helped us make a reservation at the best Teppanyaki restaurant we have ever been to! This was our best stay in Japan so far!
