We stayed for just one night but we felt very welcome and we wanted to stay longer. Even if the location wasn’t so central we were kindly picked up and dropped off at the train station. They even helped us having an early breakfast to catch our early train. As vegetarians we put the hosts in a bit of a pickle, but they gave us a delicious breakfast nonetheless ;) We definitely would like to come back 😄

It was a beautiful and homely stay! Great start to our trip in Japan/Aomori. The host family was very kind and the children were really cute! We got dinner on our first night and breakfast on our last day. We bought some of their honey as well (self-harvested!) Really fresh and delicious home-cooked food (different from the oily city food I am used to). The futons were sooo comfortable too! It's really like living with your relatives (a home/farmstay rather than a hotel so keep your expectations aligned) We love it though! Separate shower and toilets (they do provide bath towel & face towel!). There's a fridge too! We took a walk around the farm/forest and the host showed us his mini waterfall as well :) To be honest, I was a little afraid of the stink bugs but it's not as bad as I thought (mostly harmless and the host teaches you how to capture them). There's an old traditional heater where they will burn firewood so it might get a little chilly but the futon keeps you very cozy.

A beautiful little apartment in beautiful Aomori! Love that every detail for everyday living has been taken care of, from an abundance of masks and house slippers to kitchen everything and laundry essentials. Decorated beautifully with marimekkko and Yuyoi Kusamaartwort and an elegant Vitra polygon wall clock, which was a pure delight to look at. Very comfortable bedding, too!. Within walking distance to the lovely pier, Afactory, Nebuta museum, , fish market and izakayas along main street. Interaction with host was nil, but really, who needs to when all u need and more is already made available to you???!!

There was plenty of space, an excellent downstairs café which served as a guest lounge after hours. The facilities were modern and immaculate. The staff were friendly and helpful. The café served an apple and ginger tea which was delicious.

The location was excellent. The town itself is also very quaint and calming. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Always willing to assist even though my Japanese is very poor. There was also a lot of advertising in the accommodation of what was going on locally which was really nice.
