Egilsstadir village is a 5-minute drive away. The Hallormsstadaskógur Forest is 25 km from the cottages. Picturesque Cottage with beautiful surrounding, sheep, birds and ducks by the lake. Comfortable bed, good shower, kitchen fully equipped and an outdoor BBQ. Few mins drive to supermarket. We had a mechanic issue with our rental car, the host was very nice and let us stay extra few hours and came to rescue us, drop us off in town to wait for a replacement car.

We have had the best stay here, filled with relaxation and joy, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable getaway. It’s a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of Iceland!
