Review dated: July 2024. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lakeside Suits (a.k.a. Lakeside Condo) for 5 nights with my partner. It was an outstanding experience. Particularly the hospitality of Mr. Manoj and the entire staff is laudable. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The attention to detail in the apartment and the room is impeccable with thoughtful tohches. We even liked the sandalwood air freshener near the reception area. The furniture in the apartments is top notch. Rooms are equipped with an AC, a 55" smart TV with all streaming apps, wardrobe, electric kettle. There is fast WiFi connectivity in every apartment. There are common spaces like the living and dining rooms (also well furnished) and kitchen. Every room has its own private bathroom attached. The bathrooms are spotless with modern sanitary hardware. Room service made sure of cleanliness everyday. Kitchen is well equipped with a stove, fridge and microwave. Few plates and cutlery are also provided. We ordered take aways on food delivery apps from some very popular restaurants nearby. The location is perfect with lots of shopping nearby (our main purpose of visiting). Arriving from Visakhapatnam, we parked our car in the basement and took public transport to explore the city's shopping spots. Overall after a long day of shopping excursion in the city of joy, returning back to the Lakeside Suites felt like a home away from home.

I booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 6 nights. The rooms are exquisite, the staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfasts are excellent. Calcutta Bungalow has to be one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. The building has so much character and charm and there are antiques and curios everywhere you look. There are also some great books about Kolkata. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. It is in a very quiet street in an interesting part of Kolkata. I would definately stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone

The layout is both interesting and effective. It is half a floor of a large apartment block divided into 6 rooms. My room was brilliant with quality inclusions and serious soundproofing. Apart from that, I received some excellent help when I needed it, far beyond the call of duty. I will definitely try and book the B&B when I am in Kolkata next.

The rooms are clean ,hygenic And well maintained.the ambiance is awesome.i wish to visit again soon

Aswome food and cordial behaviour

Dooars Velley Home Stay is located among palm trees and close to the mountains in a very quiet and calm area. It's paradise. We were so happy to finally arrive there and be welcomed by Pritam, who took so good care of us in all aspects. He is an excellent cook and a marvelous person and he made it easy for us to feel home. The room was very clean, comfortable and the location was so beautiful. Thank you for the days we spent together, it was a pleasure to be there and I trust that we will come back soon.

We visited Tashiling Homestay in April2025, prior to, and after our Himalayas Trekking. We were welcomed by the warmth of Tashi, the house owner, and his very much caring wife and their two adorable children. They are devout Tibetan Buddhist. The floor we were offered to share were literally a whole upstairs with spacious two bedrooms and a wide living room, together with an own bathroom. Everywhere is very clean and pleasantly maintained. And the magnificent view from their terrace must be stressed, during the day, and in the star twinkling night. And the steam train that runs close by. On the first night, we were offered for a local noodle dished called Thukpa, cooked by his wife, with the local beer called HIT, both were just great experiences(with additional payment). Tashi and his wife were attending and we had much talk about the regional life and received many advises during the cause of the meal as we ate. To be honest, I am not a great fan of Masala Tea, but here of course, the land of Darjeeling, it seems everyone drinks the beautiful black tea this land produces, and the tea drinking seems to be woven into as part of their daily life. Just wonderful fragrance and the color of the tea offers a relaxing moment, at the arrival, as well as when the meal is finished. After our return from the Trekking, again, their warm smiles and hot black tea just smoothed out our fatigues and muscle pains from the ups and down of the mountains. They were so caring and every moment, and absolutely an ideal Home stay experience we had. Darjeeling memories were not only the tea garden visits, UNESCO chow chow train, or the Himalayas Trekking, but all became unforgettable with the heartwarming welcomes and caring given from Tashi and his a family at Tashiling Homestay. I have never given 5 stars, but definitely the most memorable stay I had in my Global stays around the world.

Everything about the place. An amazing view of the mountain. Fresh and yummy food. Nice opportunity for a stroll up and down the terrain. The bed warmers are thoughtful. Friendly hosts. Helpful staffs. Alcohol was priced at MRP. All in all a wonderful stay. Definitely coming back.

The host Aunty was kind and generous. The property was very neat and clean . Aunty took care of all our needs. Absolutely recommend.
