Last but not the least, the property belongs to an eminent Bengali economist which makes it a very prestigious stay in the Bengali cultural capital. We stayed there during the winter festival week and made use of the local transport to enjoy the local cultural shows and did a lot of shopping. The house is located at the heart of Shantiniketan which allowed us to access the main attractions with ease. We could also enjoy the garden at the property with a lot of joy and made a lot of photos and memories to look back at.

The property is located 7.5 km from Howrah Railway Station and 4.3 km from Sealdah Railway Station. The famous Park Street area is 1.5 km away. Staff was friendly. Jayant was very helpful in ordering food and allowing me to pay staff in cash rather than download an app I'm not likely to use that much. Great location, especially considering I'd never been to Kolkata before and didn't know where would be good. Oh, and there's an EXCELLENT little library.

It's possible to find all the facilities just at few minutes walking from the house. The house is fully equipped if you want to arrange some food by your self.The owner is very kind and helpfull. Good quality at the right price... highly recommended.
