It was quiet and peaceful. The host, Andy, was fun and interesting to talk to. Basically, I liked everything.

Doris and Kevin were the perfect hosts, beautiful home and the breakfast was fabulous, great nights sleep. Rooms bigger than you would expect and to be woken by birdsong was an added extra. The local pubs were about a mile or so down the road with a harbour if you fancy a walk.Athlone town only 10 minutes away if you fancy a more lively night out taxis available. All in all a great find and most definitely would recommend and hope to revisit in the near future.

We had a wonderful time, especially enjoying the BBQ on the veranda and the stunning view of the lake, which is also very close by.
