The place is very cosy, the rooms very clean, good value for money, but the most important and the most remarkable is DILAH. She is the nicest, kindest and most dedicated person we have met in Indonesia. If you have a couple of days or more, she will make your experience as rewarding as possible. She will get you all the food and fruit you want for breakfast, and even if you want to see crocodiles, she will wait with you for 3 or 4 hours until they show up! Hahaha I would definitely recommend her a million times. If you want to do a tour in Sumatra, I recommend you to talk to her and spend at least one day there. She deserves everything and more. Located in Timbanglawang, Orangutan Villa & Ethical Jungle Treks features accommodation with seating area. This villa offers free private parking and full-day security. The villa provides a restaurant serving American cuisine, as well as free WiFi throughout the property. AMAZING stay in there. Everything was perfect : the trek, the guest house, the restaurant (so good food) and the staff. Cooking staff, jungle guides, manager, driver, they are all very nice, funny and always happy to help. The organisation is very good. GO GO GO ;)

We had an amazing time! Jhony is a very friendly guy and a very knowledgable and experienced guide. We will definitely return someday to do a longer trek!

Mario Lakeside Apartments is a recently renovated apartment in Tuk Tuk, where guests can make the most of its free bikes and garden. The apartment is really large with a full kitchen and fridge. The fan is all you need and we did not have any issues with mosquitos. It is so quiet at night since it is quite far down the side of the hill from the road. The hammock right in front of the lake is so peaceful. The food from the restaurant is delicious!!! Absolutely great place to come home to after a big day of exploring.

Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated room, amazing tropical garden, delicious food in the restaurant, the well organised and executed overnight tour into the jungle (yes, we were lucky to see orangutans in the wild) But it is the people working at the Orangutan discovery villa that made our stay unforgettable - highly hospitable, accommodating, genuine in every way. If we are ever to go back to Bukit Lawang it will be the this place.

Guests can make use of the picnic area or the barbecue, or enjoy views of the lake and river. This was such an amazing place. The owners Sarah and August welcomed us very friendly. We had a pickup at the bus station. The rooms were nice, spacious and comfortable. The food was tasty and for reasonable price. We did 3 days trekking with guide Bai and friends and had so much fun. We saw tons of animals including wild orangutan, siamangs, argus and turtles. The camping in nature was simple but very fun and the food was amazing. We felt like in a family. Thank you 🙂
