Highly recommended place to stay. It is actually called Tangkoko guesthouse. The tangkoko safety shop is a place on the beach which serves delicious lunches and dinners and their guides for the jungle trip are the best: Renny and Lea. Tangkoko guesthouse works closely together with Renny 's safety shop. Pacha, the owner, of tangkoko guesthouse is very helpful and friendly. Pacha arranged a 'mobile taxi' for 30.000 rp per person to Bitung area from where you can get a grab or indrive ride to your next destination. The rooms are big, hot shower(!!!), great breakfast with omelet to set you off for your morning jungle trip. Great view from my balcony, room on the first floor, of the part.watching the birds flying. Good WiFi.

Naca is a great Host and fantastic cook. She picked us up from the boat and helped us with everything. Can’t imagine a better host. Highly recommended.

The best and kindest homestay i have ever been! This homestay is unique in many forms: the owner Steven contacted me a few days before my arrival to answer all my questions, which was a solo female traveller very helpful. He organised me a taxi and boat from Manado to come to Bunaken and back. Through this i could catch directly my flight. Steven and Misi were always helping me with any situation coming up and I had the feeling I could always ask them anything (i had a difficult situation in the middle). The prices were always transparent and fair. They also helped me to find a very good diving school and helped me planning my snorkeling trips (they have a lot of contacts). Both are very kind, warm and open. They even invited me to celebrate New Years Eve with them and their friends. On my last night we had a small farewell party to which Steven invited some friends over to play music! The room is very clean and comfortable. In the whole house I always had perfect and fast Wifi (didn't expect it on an Island:)). The room had a fan and as an add-on AC. The food is cooked fresh, delicious and a lot. Dietary requests are taken serious (as for me i dont like fish and love Tempeh :)). I also rented a Scooter from them which had a very high quality! I am super happy and grateful I stayed at El Homestay and I am already planning to come back:). I honestly fell in love with this family. If you want to have homestay which feels like home and get to know the village of Bunaken and the culture you should definetely stay at El Homestay!

Solid option in Tangkoko. Nice rooms in garden like setting for a great price. Included breakfast good, available before or after your morning trip into the park. Guided trips were good. Stayed 2 nights and I enjoyed it here

Istananku is well known by locals and travellers and for good reason…it’s great! Rooms are spacious, with a comfy bed, good furniture and an en-suite with warm water. The staff are lovely and will happily give you restaurant recommendations, order taxis and organise trips. Very nearby is a small supermarket, laundrette (with reasonable prices), lovely cafe and ATM. Drinking water is freely available. Breakfast offers a range of local hot dishes, tea, coffee and fruit. Reception is 24hr which is great as we arrived at 4AM.

Istanaku is located in the centre of Manado, a 10-minute drive from the Mega Mall and the Manado Town Square. IT offers a restaurant, free parking on site and free Wi-Fi in public areas.

This island is paradise! Wow! The beach is beautiful, it is small and quiet, the food was amazing and staff felt like family. Our tent was romantic, clean and modern. A white sandy beach with kristal clear water and beautiful corals for snorkeling makes you feel in paradise. We didn’t want to leave and will surely come back in the future.

We had a fantastic time at Siau in the Karatu homestay. The owners are super friendly and helpful, and the island is such a beautiful and diverse place. Snorkling/diving, active volcano watching and very friendly people. Dominic is a fantastic guide who can help you with organising your tours, renting a scooter, snorkeling gear and lots of tips. Great experience!
