Anna welcomed us and explained the workings of the apartment. It was spacious with a well equipped kitchen, homely sitting room and massive bathroom, all topped off with a cool mezzanine with a large bed. Anna had left a welcome hamper full of homemade goodies, wine, cold drinks, a chocolate Easter bunny and a red egg (traditional for Greek Easter) and filled us in about Greek Easter traditions and local restaurants, bars. Such a wonderful, friendly Greek welcome. Now onto the shower, the best shower ever, spacious and powerful with a plentiful supply of hot water. We hired a quad bike to explore the island and Anna promptly answered any queries we had. After three days in beautiful Symi Anna and her husband gave us a lift back to the ferry and we left a piece of our hearts on the island.

Everyone staying in Karpathos, should come to see Olympos and even more to stay there for the night. There is a really special atmosphere at night in Olympos. Village was so quiet. Accomodation is like an old traditional karpathian house , it looks amazing. I slept very well listening only cats/ donkeys. It's like travelling in the past. Very relaxing. Marina and her family are so friendly. They made me feel at home. Also their food was amazing. Meanwhile at the balcony-terrace you can see them cooking your meal and you enjoy the view on the valley. If one day I come back to Karpathos/ Olympos, I will try to stay here again. The place is really beautiful, with a wonderful view on the sea. Best place ever to stay in Symi, very calm, with a little beach next to the hotel. You just have to cross the street. Natassa is taking care of her clients with efficience and heart. The place was perfectly clean. It's perfect for staying with children, or as a romantic getaway. I came with my daughter and my sister and planning to come back.
