It was also difficult to find a rental car but she gave us some contacts. She welcomed us with local juices and teas and she fixed the AC really quickly when we realized that it had a problem. She is really a great host.

We spent a lot of time outside on our patio, where we were sometimes visited by the owner's two very nice dogs and the gardener Edwin brought us seasonal fruits. One morning we even got a traditional caribbean breakfast prepared, which was delicious. We parked our car in the driveway in front of the apartment and had our own gate to the road.
