There are lovely walks locally and the river Wye is just across the road. A pub a few minutes' walk away and it's just a few miles from Buxton. The supply of tea, coffee and milk in the kitchen was a nice touch.

Location was just as we wanted, in the middle of rolling hills it was stunning. We were so lucky with the weather while there too. Waking up to that view was amazing. There are some lovely pubs around which are a short drive away. If you’re looking to do walks we did Thors cave one day. This was just beautiful scenery and little lambs and sheep everywhere you looked it was lovely. Then we did the three dales. For a bit of fun we also went to Alton towers one day which was great too. The shepherd hut itself is perfect. So cute and has everything you need for a cosy stay. We hope to come back one day and this little gem will be recommended to family and friends for sure. The bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs up steep, narrow stairs no it might not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The washing machine was very useful and the croissants and breakfast items provided were a lovely addition. The host Christine was very kind and helpful in answering my questions and making sure we had a convenient parking space on the street outside. It was convenient for attending a wedding at Foxtail Barns and we had a lovely stay.
