Amazing days. The family of Wai Makare hostel became my second family the days I was there. Super friendly, the food was local and amazing, the place was a paradise, was literally in the nature with nothing around. I finally had in Wai Makare the wonderful experience to know the Fiji culture and people. I left a piece of heart in Wai Makare homestay.

We loved the unspoilt beauty of Siga Siga Sands. We felt like we were in our own little world with both jungle and sea to ourselves. We enjoyed staying away from the crowds that one finds at other resorts. Delicious food was easily provided with a phone call and getting to town was really easy with a phone call to Bablu- the most punctual and wonderful taxi driver. There is wonderful snorkelling and swimming right on your doorstep here too. If you look there is an amazing array of life in the shallows even when the tide goes out. Gene has definitely made this a paradise. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

There are three more private cabins and dorm, all right on beach. Facilities are basic, what you would expect on remote island but lice (not sure of spelling but pronounced lee-they I think)and Jo do allot of little things like solar phone chargers, solar lights at night. I was treated like family.
