The staff is excellent - the manager arranged a felucca ride and airport transfer for us at good prices. We felt very well taken care of. The restaurant across the street Sunset is amazing. Hassan, the owner arranged breakfast for us on our early check-out day. Strongly consider staying on the west side - it is quieter with village style elements, and has a lot fewer folks hassling you to hire them. But another major advantage is the evening view of the East side with sights like Luxor Temple. Great area. Such a lovely stay.

Trust me when I say at a very reasonable cost. - For vegetarian less breakfast options but you can inform in advance for anything. Our stay in luxor was smooth and nice.

Tasneem Palace is a peaceful paradise located few minutes walk from the west bank ferry station, away from the hustle of Luxor town. The house is beautiful and clean, with a well maintained garden and a rooftop overlooking green banana fields. The owner, Mahmoud is one of the kindest people I've met during my travels in Egypt. The meals he offered were delicious and abundant. If my itinerary allowed it, I would have prolonged my stay.
